Dr. Maples’ book is out September 2021!
Dr. Maples’ book on the history of climbing in Kentucky’s Red River Gorge will be out in September 2021 from West Virginia University Press. This book covers the history of the Red’s climbing community from its official start in 1969 up through the recent 2019 Memorandum of Understanding between climbers and the Daniel Boone National Forest.
